What To Do When You Feel Restless And Anxious – Let’s be honest, we all get a little frustrated from time to time. Maybe you are bored reading this article… (don’t reply to this).
That was the first answer people gave me when they asked me what made me want to come back. Failure would certainly mean that someone would return to the center after repeatedly using the selective substance and cite “disappointment” as the reason. I have always found such an interesting and simple answer.
It taught me that most of us are uncomfortable with boredom. It is a term we use to describe a feeling or situation we want to avoid. We use this word when we feel something and don’t know what it is, how to define it and what to do with it. This is a loaded name.
Complaint is still a relatively new area of research, and we have a lot of trouble defining what it means, especially since it means so many different things to so many people. If you ask someone to define vulnerability, they will probably come up with a completely different definition than the next person. How do you define a complaint?
A complaint is also a call to action. Makes you want to move and start something. This is not necessarily a bad thing. In my clinical work, boredom that leads to destructive behavior or poor outcomes usually manifests as:
Responding to grief in unhelpful or harmful ways is usually because we don’t know what else to do, we don’t have the resources, we don’t know what to do, we are emotionally overwhelmed and unable to make a decision. .
Can I use negative emotions to make myself more productive and aligned with my values or goals?
3. Get in touch with your values, what you want out of life, and your goals. When you live according to your values and goals, it feels more fulfilling and less stressful.
4. Assess what else is going on here. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD can make you feel “gloomy,” but it’s more than that. I recommend meeting with a licensed mental health professional to discuss this.
5. Use evil as fuel. Complaining can motivate you to take action and change. Think about when and how boredom occurs, and then make changes in your life that will help reduce it.
6. Remember that it is okay to do nothing. You don’t always have to be motivated or involved. Learning to be with yourself (maybe even with a professional) is helpful.
If you’re constantly feeling down, you might want to find out why. Therapy can be a good place to explore and dig deeper into these feelings. I offer online video therapy to Florida residents. If this sounds like you, you may have a blocked root chakra. The root chakra, or first chakra, is located at the base of the spine and helps you feel balanced, grounded, and secure. This chakra, when balanced, allows you to feel safe, focused, and in the moment. However, a blocked root chakra can make you feel anxious, restless, fearful and unbalanced.
Next, let’s talk a little about the root chakra and what you can do to open it.
In Sanskrit, the name for the root chakra is “muladhara” and can mean “foundation”, “foundation” or “root support”. It is often depicted as a rich red color. Since the root chakra is located at the base of the spine and is the first chakra, it literally lays the foundation for your entire life. By opening this chakra, you can expand your world and open yourself to new possibilities. However, a blocked root chakra can leave you wondering and feeling like you can’t make sense of anything in life.
Finally, the root chakra symbolizes ideas of safety, security and our grounding on earth. This means that our physical selves feel stable and anchored in our world to meet our basic needs. The root chakra is at the root of everything because it starts at the root of your body and moves up to the other chakras. You want to use your root chakra to ground yourself and create a sense of security in this world.
A blocked root chakra can make you feel restless, anxious and out of place in the world. However, an overactive root chakra can make you feel hungry and paranoid, and can sometimes manifest as an eating disorder. You may feel like you don’t have a home on Earth and this will make you feel restless all the time.
A blocked root chakra can make you feel aimless and without a place to call home, like you’re floating aimlessly. A blockage in the root chakra can make it difficult to keep a job or stay in one place for long periods of time. By opening this chakra, it will be easier for you to “root” and feel more secure and stable in life.
An unbalanced root chakra can lead to feelings of paranoia and constant anxiety. You will never settle down and it may seem like you will never be able to rest. If you believe you have a blocked root chakra, learn how to unblock it so you can live more freely and get out of survival mode.
Cleansing the root chakra involves a lot of meditation and grounding exercises so you can begin to feel comfortable in your body and mind.
